A pile of old newspaper clippings fills the top half of the page. One has a photo of a middle aged woman being frogmarched by the police from a day care center. Another photo depicts picketers with signs reading "Hang 'em!", "Bag the Hags", Keep Ambroseburg Safe", and Life's a witch and then they should die". An article headlined "Quinlan to witches: 'Watch your necks'" features a photo of a ribbon cutting taking place on a gallows in front of a cheering crowd. Other headlines: "Rev pleads 'Exorcise, don't execute'" and "Justice served? Afraid knot". Below, a banner in the park reads "GALLOWS DAZE". Vendors sell crystals, brooms, plush black cats, and t-shirts that read "Hang 'em!" Children eat noose-shaped pretzels from a booth called the Cheese Cauldron. A small crowd is gathered around the gallows to watch a 3-piece rock band perform under the noose.

Distant hills and valleys populated with Delbert women in black dresses and bonnets, feeding chickens and carrying wood to a fire where meat is roasting. Men dig a hole and children watch as an older relative nails boards over the entrance to some kind of underground bunker. Near the road, they hide in the trees and underbrush, brandishing weapons as they watch a passing cyclist.

Bird's eye view of Ambroseburg. Peering down past dandelions, sumac, trees, and telephone wires, are about four blocks of early-to-mid-20th century commercial buildings. The tallest building (3 floors) has a "for rent" sign in one window, Coletti Circus Museum in another, and an establishment called Laundro-Matt's on the ground floor. Across the street, paint peels off a wall mural which proclaims "AMBROSEBURG: WATCH US GROW!" depicting the town's past (cattle & log cabin), present (nuclear family in front of split-level ranch) and future (monorail and spacesuits).
